P.S. Big game this weekend: Chargers vs. Broncos!! Can you imagine the thrill of having the next Green Home build near San Diego? My vote is in!!! Just think of the 'tail-gate parties' happening at the stadium...why not throw that ole Tom Turkey on the 'Barbie' and have a different kind of Thanksgiving celebration? Fans, Fair Weather, Football and Feasting...doesn't get much better than that!! Pleeeeeeease cast your vote for Del Sur, San Diego, CA!!!!

Thanks Gail Thanks Mary!!! I’m glad that the Green Home Blog is Back!!!
KARI = Congratulations! I really Hope that you and your husband will find a way to make this Possible— and Relocate Permanently to Pt.St. Lucie! Not only is the Home Beautiful; but you will be right outside of West Palm Beach, and I think, about a 1 hour drive from Ft. Lauderdale! The Real Estate market, in most areas of Florida, is starting to Come Back Around Again, too!!!!

And—- Lets Start Planning the Party!!!!!

Diana – Great post! I echo your sentiments.
Diana, great comment!!
Gail, Great Vlog!! I am so happy for the Coffeys!! How Awesome!! And I too was so excited when they started answering the bloggers questions!! I am having fun finding a great location for the GH2010!! Now does the State begin with a “M” or is the “M” in the State name??? Good Luck!! Love life by living green!!
TO Kari & Mike,
Congrats on winning the Green Home!! From one Fl resident to another, you’ll love it here!!! IT IS A STUNNING HOME in a GREAT Location!! My Husband & I travel very often & as transplanted NYers We Love Living in FL !!! You have every kind of vacation destination (Except Skiing of course)in your own backyard! I very much enjoyed the show and your reaction was priceless! We have some of the best schools here- my oldest is even staying in Fl for college, he loves it so much! Your daughter can play safely outside all year round here and your family can enjoy all that our beautiful state has to offer! Best Wishes to you and your family, Remember Home is where the heart is!!!! God Bless!
GAIL…Love the video! You’re right…it was so, so exciting! I too am so happy for the Coffey family!
The way that HGTV brought the blogging community into the show was priceless! In addition, the Green Home Winner videos that you can now view online are terrific! All of the questions that they asked Kari and Mike were questions from this wonderful blog and many of my blogging buddies were mentioned! Too, too fun for us!
Thanks GAIL and thanks MARY for sharing!
Living the Dream!
P.S. If we wanted to watch the full episode again, where can we find it?
Hello Green Bloggers,
I agree. Lets start planning the “Meet and Greet” for the Winners. Just let me know when you leave Michigan and I will meet you at the house. You are going to love Tradition and I make a “GREAT” tour guide. I have lived in this area since 1967. I know all the back roads, highways, byways, and shopping places. Don’t listen to the “Grouchers”, just come on down and enjoy the sunshine and beaches.

My heartfelt congratulations to Kari and Mike Coffey, and their daughter, who’s going to love her new bedroom in the Green Home! A genuinely wonderful and deserving family, I think.
I enjoyed your great commentary on the winner’s reveal video, GAIL, even though all the online activity kept my viewing to one second intervals!
Life seems to be returning to a semblance of normalcy here in the Green Home blog, and for MARY as well I hope, what with all the excitement of the Coffey’s big win and the flurry of posts that accompanied it.
Again, Kari and Mike; wishing you every joy and happiness with this extraordinary win. We look forward to hearing much more from you in the weeks to come.
Hi Gail,
I loved how HGTV incorporated the blogging community into the show. It’s as though they are encouraging us to not give up but to rejoice with others so that others may rejoice with us when we win! I don’t have a problem with that!
It’s hard for me to imagine that this blogging community would be anything other than supportive. Just because some mean spirited people post comments doesn’t mean they’re regular bloggers. We can’t control their comments but HGTV can. That’s why we trust HGTV to keep this site clean.
Have a great day everyone. Again, Congratulations to the Coffey’s!
Thanks for the great vlog Gail. And all your hard work Mary.
Hope all is going well with the Coffey’s and that they are are excited about their pending trip to FL!!!! Hope to hear from Kari on the blogs again soon!
After yesterday’s lock down…I realized that I have developed a SERIOUS case of “HGTV-itis”
I thought it would diminish after the winner was announced..but apparently not. Does anyone know where I can go get help or a cure? lol…
Best of luck, Kari and Mike. I bet your daughter will just love her new bedroom.
Hi fellow bloggers,
Now I don’t mean to be a sour puss, but living here in new orleans, la. I kinda had my hopes up. I entered everyday for 2 months. I guess Im excited for the winners, but a little disappointed it wasnt me. It would be so great to get away from here. Oh well, I guess better luck next time.
I think it is very strange that someone with a child that fits the childrens room won. How did person that did the design know that someone with a child would win?
Congrats … the house is a perfect fit for you! Enjoy, and love livin’ green …
Congratulations … this new home is a perfect fit for your family! Enjoy, and “love livin’ green”
Mike does business where I work and I see him there about once a week. I just want to say this could not have happened to a nicer guy and his family… SOOOO happy for them. Congrats!!!
My feelings on winning are mixed: I wish the winners the best, I am happy for them, but also I feel a little bit sad it was just a dream for me – because I wanted it so much, I looked at it almost every day. Maybe better way is to not to look at it, and not to hope that much. Then you are not that disappointed.
But it is a lottery, and it is a game of good luck.
So, Kari and your family have a great time in that pretty house!!!
Thanks Gail & Mary!! Great posts as usual!! I liked that incorporation of the Blog as well!! It worked well and it provided a great feature of the HGTV faithful’s thoughts & opinions. Great eye & ear Gail!! I am looking forward to the suspense of the 2010 Green Home location being over!! Although the waiting is fun!! I still think it’s MO!!
-Your Confident 2009 HGTV Super Fan (Deadline for entries is today!!)
Congratulations Kari & Mike! I was hoping you hadn’t seen any of the “debbie downer” and “bitter bob” posts right after your win. It’s a shame, but unfortunately that’s what happens.
Like everyone, I wanted to win, but I hope you enjoy your gift, whether you live there or sell and create a new life. Whatever you do, just enjoy it!
Peace to you and your family~
My sincere congratulations to Kari and Mike Coffey, and especially to their daughter, who will absolutely go crazy happy in her new bedroom in the Green Home! Such a lovely and beautiful family!!
GAIL: I was so happy to see your new & exciting commentary on the winner’s reveal video! I had been lost in guessing where the next Gream Home was going to be built, which was a bit weird…I thought it was odd that I had the only comment posted on the second clue (could not understand why no one else had posted their comments)! I should have known there were over a hundred others in the ‘waiting pool!!’ But, it was exciting to see that everyone agree that the clues pointed to Boston, Massachusetts!!!
Anyway, just another quick, but heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to Kari and Mike!! It will be nice hearing from you in the upcoming weeks…will you be moving to the Gream Home? Are you going to have a party? We bloggers are always ready for celebration!!
Okay I do have one more MGTOTD:
An easy way to clean your outdoor grill is with aluminum foil. Simply make a ball as big as your fist and rub away the grease and grime!!
Shall this be my last MGTOTD???
Hi bloggers,Danny here,NO! Marie! You can please keep up giving us tips. Your tip about aluminum foil is very timely, since 4th of July is almost here and I have been too busy to get the grill out of the shed and clean the the grime off from last year! I was thinking when stored it away in November, that the grease would protect it from rust. I remember when I was a kid, Grampa would wipe his tractor down with kerosene and “paint” outdoor metal with grease before winter. I didn’t consider that the stuff on my burner plate would rust in such a short time in storage. Now, I guess I have to scub down the plate and repaint it ( if I can scrub enough off to where the paint will stick) .well at least the grill looks like new. Danny
MICHGAL!
c.mon have them post! We want to hear what’s up I know I am nosey! Ask them to create a blog so we all get to see what’s up!
Thanks
arlene
p.s. Wish it was me or too much to handle?
I too am totally disappointed since I looked at the home on the web everyday and watched the tour on TV several times seeing myself in that house. I also wonder how they knew a family with a girl would win and happened to design a bedroom for a little girl..interesting.
Congratulations to the Green Winners! Sorry for my delay in warm wishes…I’ve missed so much this past week with unfortunate family loss… But I am sincere in my hope that you have many years of Happy Green Living!
