A Day in Plymouth
This photo was snapped on a cold blustery day in Plymouth, Mass. Can’t you just imagine a short stroll along the beach, followed by hot clam chowder at one of the local pubs? Love it! So tell me, if you won HGTV Green Home 2010, what would you do first? Head to Cape Cod? Tour around town? Find a great place to enjoy a lobster dinner?
My first day would be spent preparing a great meal for my family who live either in Plymouth, Carver, on the Cape, or in Boston and who would all converge on me!! It would be a dream come true for me to be able to live in Plymouth and be back closer to my roots. I love Plymouth!!! I would go to the market in Pinehills and hopefully meet some of my new neighbors there. I don't have my own home and I would be in heaven entertaining my family in my new home. I'm sure the first day would be spent close to home!
The first thing I do I will invite my children and family for dinner,and then sit on the porch without fear breathing the fresh air of Cape Cod .It’s hard to live safe in New Bedford.
After I hunkered down in the beautiful new house, put a loaf of bread in the ove. I would take a walk on the beach. Then take the loaf to a neighbor and introduce myself and invite them over for a cocktail party to see the house. Then I would browse town and pick up items needed for the party. I love to patronize the local merchants. I am used to and love winters. I moved back up to Buffalo from Florida just for that reason. I am retired and so is my husband so we could just enjoy the magnificent work done by HGTV home crew.
I would have to look at the home probably spend hours just looking at it.. I wouldn’t know what to do first.. My family would have to scoop me off the floor or ceiling from excitement.. This is just beautiful. Amazing, Amazing work.. Nothing I’ve ever seen before.
