I bet there are others who don't like it. I am glad there is no design that appeals to everyone or what fun would it be. I love the cottage style and she represented the New England cottage motif really well. It fits the style of the house. Of course, anyone who moves in will put their signature on the place I would probably make it even more Nautical and add a Big Red lobster painting over the fireplace. You would hate it. Different strokes. There is another house coming soon.
Boston is an amazing city.
Definitely a telescope in the tower. I bet the stars are beautiful at night in the winter with just the snow for light.
I'm in!
I so badly want this place myself, but worry constantly how I could pay the taxes!
I also wonder (and worry) about the home makeovers I see on tv: Holmes on Homes and Extreme Home Makeovers – people in desperate straights who badly need their new gift – who pays the taxes? I am so happy to see someone deserving get the lift they need, but worry they will shortly lose it to the tax man!
Now, I'm wondering… if I send my donation TODAY, will the PO hold it till the owner arrives???
Mary, Gail -could you please find out?
Right on, Nancy!
My feelings exactly!
I couldn't have said it better!
I'd like to point out to any who want to sell, that you will realize far less than you anticipate.
You'd have sell everything at a great loss, but you still would owe the taxman the full amount. You'd probably do better donating the house than selling it!
I hope it goes to someone who really needs it, and that someone can keep it.
I hope not!
I can't afford that even for rent! :O
Well, I want the house badly.
If I win, I will do my best to keep it. BUT, I may not succeed.
It would feel terrible if I then had to give the whole thing up, because I couldn't manage the finances.
I think you are very kind for such a wonderful thought of sending $1 to help with taxes which will help make their dream come true because otherwise the new winner probably couldn't afford to even live in their Dream Home . May God bless you again and again.
I wonder what constitutes "full time".
Can you have a child for the summer? Take in a sibling's kid, while they work out some issues? House a woman with kids in exchange for housework?
I'm sure those things would be fine.
Communities have limits on how close you can put a structure to the property line. Where I live, it's 10 feet. I wonder what it is there?
At any rate, swings, and ice rinks don't qualify as "structures". Above ground pools don't either, but Pinehills assoc might deny them, because they don't work with the image they ae trying to create.
That's ok, per my understanding. The "One entry per day" is based on email address.
Even if you enter from the library, you still need your own email address.
Well, to each his/her own. Frankly, I love her style.
However, there is something NO designer can give me, unless I work with the designer directly: a sense of my own input.
I wouldn't go for a lobster over the fireplace, but I would love a place to hang a few pieces of my own artwork!
I know I should say the eco friendly feature the solor roof appliances but the celling and the painted white wood is so perfect the red counter top the stairs and the pinehill village green the jazz I can not wait to taking cooking classes at Olio cafe I just know the classes would be wonderful it will be like the most perfect place on earth a place that you could belong to I am wishing my self good luck.
