  2. Final 2 entries are in and now the waiting, wondering who will win craziness begins! Hope it is a blogger. Love all the cool tech features of the home as well as all the green features. Once again HGTV has done a fantastic job! Good luck everybody!!!

  3. ouch! Sorry :|

I do the same thing with the door, lol. I figure it is better to lock them out and have to let them in, than it is to suffer the consequences of someone's bad intentions… Each time he frowns at me, while letting him in, I remind him how uncomplicated his life is because I follow safety procedures, without fail. It has become second nature..

  4. Wow, final entry is in!!! I hope it's us but if we don't win… At least I now know about the lovely green community of Stapleton. I have to air out my entryway of car exhaust every morning because of our location and we have to wait until it's late and the traffic is minimal to open our windows at night. When we are able to purchase a home again we will definitely be looking in Stapleton and I hope we can find something in our price range. The Green Home is just a wonderful home and what a dream community. Well, my dream community anyway. How wonderful to have such an amazing, high tech home in such a small town feel community where you actually get to know your neighbors. Just perfect is all I can say. Best wishes to the winner, I hope you love and appreciate it as much as we have all grown to love it! Whew! I can't believe it's finally over. While the dreaming and hoping was super fun, I don't think I'll be entering any more contests anytime soon because my poor little heart just wouldn't be able to take it. Intense!

JenMons on June 2, 2011 at 5:30 pm
  12. Final two entries in! My apartment has been spring-cleaned and dusted, cobwebs and Texas dirt swept from the stairwell and landing -ready for the ambush! Seriously though, thanks HGTV for the 'spring crush'. Thanks also to all involved from the sponsors to the person who swept up after construction. I've enjoyed reading the blogs, commenting once in a while, and praying for all. Still Colorado bound in the next few months, and still hoping for this most excellent place to land. I promise if they pull my name I will blow these blogs UP with thankfulness and info (as soon as legally allowed) Best of luck to all! Been a trip! :-)

  17. Who are you kidding bzymom? It hardly ever rains here in OR! Except during the day and night and on weekdays and on weekends! LOL

EdinOregon on June 2, 2011 at 7:51 pm
  18. The winner will be drawn on the 15th, but the ambush will occur on or around the 25th. Usually it is up to a week before the 25th!

EdinOregon on June 2, 2011 at 7:53 pm
  19. My favorite automated feature is the water control settings, especially as they can be set individually for different plants. Wow. The second is being able to monitor/control the ambient temperature from wherever you are. The one question I have is where are the speakers located? From the photos, it looks like speakers are located over the front patio. Are they also located in the backyard? I would be interested in knowing more about the sound system. What a great house! The designers/developers really thought of everything. The winner will be one lucky dawg!

    travelin_mo on June 2, 2011 at 8:08 pm
  20. It would be amazing to win this home for my family! They have no idea that I have entered and they would be shocked and so happy – imagining their happiness just makes me smile!

Christy on June 2, 2011 at 8:51 pm
  21. Good luck to everyone who entered! I can't wait to see who the winner is!! My 3 little ones are so excited, everyday they ask me, "mommy did we win the house?" I hope we do! I can't wait to find out on the 25th.

HGTV, if I win, I will be in New Smyrna Beach on summer vacation with my kids…. call the cell number I left you!! I am keeping my fingers crossed :0) I am ready for change…. bring it on!!!

  24. my comment part 1
I'd be jumping up and down for joy and praising God the Father in the name of my blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is forever to be praised Amen. I have been unemployed for about a year and a half my unemployment is about to run out. My family and I have been struggling to stay afloat. So winning this house along with the cash award and a beautiful car will be a blessing direct from Heaven. My son would finally have a place where he can come outside and play with friends and family along with neighbors that care for the community they live in as well as living somewhere that is focused on family and fun.

ciscoip on June 3, 2011 at 12:19 am
  25. my comment part 2
The biggest thing I would have to say is having a home of our own and being able to give my son the environment I never had the pleasure to enjoy. I would call my bother in law who lives in Parker, CO and let him know that we are going to move right next to him. I must say I love this house and everything about I saved the episode with sabrina soto showing the house on Friday May 13, 2011 @ 11pm and watch it over and over and over etc……. I love the fact that you can operate almost everything with the IPAD that is soooooooooooooo cool, my wife loves the dooooooooooooooooo roooooooooooooooooom the most,

We are also considering in moving to CO and get out of nyc one and for all so again HGTV thanks in advance for blessing me and my family with gorgeous house along with everything that comes with it. May the God and Father of our blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, continue to use you in a powerful and mighty way in everything in spirit, soul and body and multiply your many talents that he has flourished in each and everyone of you as they use you all to bless people in need with the prizes and sweepstakes and the beautiful houses you produce willing and with an open heart. Amen

  30. This would be a dream come true to live in such a beautiful home. I'm disabled but what I seen in the home would be just a blessing to have and could live comfortably the way it is set up in the home. May God bless whomever wins this home. Of course all the the folks who entered wants it as badly as I do. But I suppose we will see soon. Good luck everyone!!!!

  31. I can seriously become obsessed with the TED and seeing how little my family would produce each day. It's one household that can truly say "take THAT you environmental raiders! I'm not paying your salary today!"

  32. Not to rub salt in your wound, but does your phone have i-net access? or you can go to public library…or borrow a friend's computer. Hey, I'm just sayin, in times of "emergency" take other routes ;)

redbarnartist on June 3, 2011 at 9:54 am
  33. My eight yr old asks "how many days til they announce we've won?" With all the positive thinkers on here, that GreenHome is gonna get really crowded really fast :D And we only have to wait 12 more days! They announce on the 15th, right? It's exciiiiiting!

redbarnartist on June 3, 2011 at 9:57 am
  34. Sounds like big fun! GreenHome videos! What a great summer someones are going to have. I think I'll celebrate whether we win or somone else does. Gonna start planning that party now! All "green" items: paper plates, etc. And all green foods…green salad w cucumbers, green olives and "green" cheese…

redbarnartist on June 3, 2011 at 10:14 am
  35. ah, I want that house too…like anyone here. I wish so much to be able to be closer to west coast where are my 2 daughters and baby grand-daughter are….oh I wish that. I work from home, so this is not problem. I love modern architecture, things, this house is that….modern, crisp, fresh, beautiful…and environment, energy conscious.
But I should not work myself into deep hopes… I hoped for Sonoma home, did not win, I love it there…I would keep that house then….
So, I just dream, wish for it….
Well, I wish anyone to be happy….let's see who will be the winner :-)

If they showed up at my door you would see us go crazy cause it would be such a shock!GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE! Thanks HGTV!

  37. I love everything about this house. There is perfect alignment with the way I live and this homes amenities. Denver is amazingly beautiful and a very healthy city. I vison myself feeling great living in such a Eco friendly and safe home. Everything about the green home 2011 can be appreciated and loved. I’m excited about the announcement.

  39. SweetLiz, it's amazing to see the advances in technology. I bought a first generation droid cell phone about a year ago. It worked well for about three or so months. After much frustration and many upgrades, I received a new phone. Please know that "state of the art toys" can have just as many bugs as anything else. The only difference is that diy projects cannot be swapped out or upgraded. Your fan still works, even if it does have a glitch every now and then. To me that's good!

Dear M Wilkinson, May I just THANK YOU for your prayers and know that I am praying for you. Sometimes, people can be so insensitive and unfortunately there are people out there who thrive on and are amused by others suffering-but the true kind human nature will always win. It’s the very people like you who make this world a warmer place. It is the very people who are the most disadvantaged that are always giving-even if its just a kind word or a prayer. Bless you and your precious little granddaughter!!!!! You made a perfect strangers day! Keep in touch and know that whoever wins, I hope it’s a kind person who appreciates their good fortune-heck, I am a single mother and I would share it with someone as genuine as you. Did you ever notice that the poorest people give the nicest tips and compliments? WHY???? Good Luck!

i would never stop thanking the lord if myself and 2 children won this home. we lost our home after i suffered a permanent brain injury when someone hit me at 100mph and lost my 20 year career as an R.N. but it has only gotten worse, my 13 year old son is battling a life-threatening disease and we pray every minute we can for a miracle, a cure. but winning this green home would not only be so cost effective, but its the climate my son needs to be in. the medical needs of this family are astronomical, but if i won i could use my limited income to have my children enjoy more life and have them see less struggle. its in the Lords hands now. GOD BLESS YOU HGTV FOR THE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

    billbobsummer3 on June 13, 2011 at 6:05 pm
  44. I don't know who really rates these comments but it doesn't make too much sense to me. It seems if you talk in detail about the house, the higher your commentary score. When I made a blanket statement that the house would be so cost effective for our family it is because of all the green elements incorporated in the house. Hands down this home would be a dream for any american trying to keep their electric, gas and water bills current without the constant threat of them being turned off with 2 small children in the home and 1 battling a serious and lengthy illness. Although we constantly pray for my 13 year old son, the fact is he has been in a state of sustained pancreatitis for 1 1/2 yrs. with 10 hospitalizations and has failed 3 cystic fibrosis tests. they tore apart his DNA and found 1 copy of cystic fibrosis and have drawn more DNA for additional mutations. At the same time, he has been diagnosed with eosinophilic esophogitis, which causes his esophagus to slowly close. I take him 2 times a week to the allergist to try and desensitize him which could take anywhere from 1 year to 5 yrs. He is allergic to everything in the arizona desert, so its the environment he is in that is his worst enemy. That's why I said the environment is so perfect for not only his pancreatitis, but his severe allery. We moved here because his Dr. in N.Y. said this would be the best for his respiratory problems 6 yrs. ago. but ironically, this is the environment that is making him so sick. And God Forbid it turns out to be cystic fibrosis, the desert climate would only make the mucous thicker and the pancreatitis worse. We are literally praying for this miracle on so many levels. I know their are many people out there who a hoping for a miracle and we wish them well, but when it's your child…..well thanks HGTV and all that read the posts.

    billbobsummer3 on June 14, 2011 at 10:23 am
  45. I just have to THANK HGTV and all the people involved with this much anticipated event yearly. To everyone from HGTV, builders, sponsors, bloggers. Even though their can be only 1 winner, you all give millions of people something to look foward to and a chance of a lifetime and someones life is about to change and its because of all of you, especially HGTV and it's sponsors. 1 American families life will change but not just for winning a home but a home that will inspire hopefully the whole nation to go as green as possible. In Az, we live behind big cement walls, you never see your neighbors, its very transient-very different than where I grew up on Long Island N.Y. It's not just the house as much as it is the bigger picture. A sense of community-no amount of money can take the place of that.Unfortunately, L.I. N.Y. has become one of those places where you grow up but can't afford to move back to. Unfortunately, there is no middle class left-you either have a house for 30+ yrs. or you make mega bucks, or you are pushing a shopping cart with all your wordly possessions, sad right? But that is the reality for millions like me. This is my last comment, but I will continue to pray like all the rest.

    billbobsummer3 on June 14, 2011 at 12:15 pm
  46. What would I do if I won the HGTV Greenhome? Say, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You ; then tell my son. Living in Stapleton would be wonderful. There are so many things to see and do in Colorado. Winning anything like this giveaway would certainly change ones life in a most pleasant way. Have always been a fan of HGTV.
The house is absolutely beautiful; large enough for a growing family and small enough for a retired couple. Congrats to the HGTV Team; you have done it again. Had lots of fun entering and dreaming about winning.
Am jealous of Super Fan; who wouldn't love her job!
Luck to all who entered; myself included.
