  1. You really missed it last night. You picked the wrong team and then you picked the wrong winner of 50K
Decoration was below par and immature at best.

    • You are 100% right!! She picked that vomitus green color for the bedroom, and couldn't even get the closet door right. I suppose she won because she cried like a baby, and they were trying to be politically correct with a woman winner. The big loser was the show's credibility. I'll never watch another season of this sham.

      • I agree… I used to watch this religiously… never again..
each show she was a disappointment and had to be carried….
comments from the judge flip flopped … they critazied the same choices they did on their own shows
When I heard them say " its the right thing to pick melissa" . I have to wonder

    • Absolutely… I was disgusted when I heard the brothers choice…

IRP on July 14, 2014 at 1:38 pm
    • Uh think you have the wrong word; immature isn't what you think it means. Perhaps amateur was the word you were thinking of. Below par should be subpar.

  2. The four finalists in Brother vs. Brother each had their strengths as well as their weaknesses. In the end, Melissa was a consistent performer in her value-added renovation decisions.

I would certainly like to see Melissa and Adi as a team, whether it's for a future TV series, a one-off special or simply joining forces off-screen. Together I think they would be an amazing powerhouse duo of design and unbeatable work ethic all wrapped up with complementing and charismatic personalities.

Might we see them in another HGTV big screen production?

  3. I like Adi’s and Rick's design better.

More complex and time consuming design. Beautiful colors in the bedroom. Beautiful bedroom decorations. Relaxing and great ambience. His and Her walk in closets. Thoughtful and convenient. Sliding doors. I think, show picked wrong winner.

    • Thanks Marina !

  4. You guys made a HUGE mistake. Eric from the start had the most character both in the show and in his designs. The only mistake he ever made was the floor moldings and that was nothing compared to other contestants. I solely watched this show for Eric, but now being extremely disappointed in the outcome, I will discontinue my viewing of the show. I highly suggest HGTV gives Eric another chance and hopefully a spin-off show because the whole East Coast thing was a great change from HGTV's usual West Coast Cali decor. Cheers!

    • The color in the kitchen was aw-ful! He matched a crappy rug that was on the floor instead of the colors of the finishes. Not only that but if he had had his way he would of gotten rid of the tub in the final challenge, big mistake as everyone pointed out. He isn't a team player at all, and in the last challenge turned on Melissa until he sensed it was too his advantage to continue to "get along" with the girl. Oh well, don't get me wrong, Eric is very good craftsman, but doesn't deserve the title.

      • its about talent…. not personality.
crying and hanging on someone else strenght … WOW

I watch ALL the HGTV shows who doesnt haveve a strong personality ???????
        NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED

  5. Melissa was Def NOT the right choice, Melissa was Riding Eric’s

Coat tails through out the whole show, if melissa was not on Eric’s team she would of went home a few episodes ago. It was unfair and totally made up for TV ….. Eric Eremita should have won, I hope some one realize at HGTV That they made the wrong decision, he was all around the best (designer & installer, he was the ultimate package )Hell if eric had his own show, you can bet i’ll have my DVR set to record him every weekend.

    • or, was it the other way around, hmmmm? See comments above. You have to be more than a craftsman to win.

Rebecca on July 14, 2014 at 1:47 pm
      • Exactly! Eric had it all CRAFTSMANSHIP,DESIGN-ABILITY, PROJECT MANAGEMENT,BUDGETING and the list goes on and on. Why do you think she referred to him as "My Eric"? She wanted him on her team . The only people who didn't like Eric was his competition!

Peter on July 16, 2014 at 6:54 am
    • You are so right,
I expect class, style and a visionary design,
How could the brothers choose Melisa ,her colors , designs were subpar….
      ERIC was the winner

IRP on July 14, 2014 at 1:48 pm
  6. Eric was robbed!!! Not saying Melissa wasn’t great, but she admitted NEEDING Eric numerous times! Eric’s work was amazing, & he took the lead & more responsibilities on numerous episodes! I was YELLING at the TV last night…. BAD decision on Drew & Jonathan’s part but GREAT decision having Eric on the show. He was awesome to watch & his ideas were terrific!!! He kept me tuned in weekly.. HGTV needs more people like ERIC!!! Hope to see him on his own show one day!

    • I guess the brothers want their viewers to settle for less than fabulous…
I thought Melissa was the WEAKEST of ALL the conterstants…on both teams
Color choices, design , materials ,just Plain Jane

IRP on July 14, 2014 at 1:51 pm
  7. Melissa Roche wasn’t a bad competitor by any means she may have been more skilled than most of the men on the show with better designs and work ability BUT she clearly wasn’t better than Eric Eremita in any aspect of the competition….design, work ethic , project management, or budget.
Eric was praised throughout the 6 episodes by Melissa and other competitors who ALL wanted Eric on their teams
Jonathan and Drew praised him repeatedly
The celebrity judges were wowed week after week by ERIC EREMITA’S work that by their own calculations added the greatest value to the homes
    How Eric didn’t win I can’t understand

  8. I have lost confidence that these shows are fair and make valid decisons.
How do they pick contestant. I have seem better designers in Big Box Stores…
If they dont pick people like ERIC in the future…it is a waist of time to watch HGTV.
ADI had some good ideas also.
The winner need to have several qualities in their tool box, like….
Design, Construction, Creativity and WOW factor.
I thought ERIC's Personal & Professional style showed CLASS … can't say that for the Melissa
HGTV FINALLY HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL —- AND THEY BLEW IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!

irp on July 14, 2014 at 2:03 pm
  9. I think Rick and Adi's rooms were overall much better, but I guess not finishing the shower doors and the vanity choices cost them. Too bad, had they overcome these last two items, I think there combined master/onsuite was much better! Dual His/Her closets are a most in our home. The vanity though was lacking and loved the vanity Melissa chose.

Next year, I hope the criteria is actually listed of the qualities they are looking for in the Winner:

    20% Design
    20% Skills
    20% Works well with other
    20% Work Ethic
    20% Finishes what they start

Rebecca on July 14, 2014 at 2:07 pm
  10. Every week Etic had his own ideas and never needed assistance. He gave others ideas and they used them. He never used others ideas. He was true to himself. So not fair
