  1. Wow, we were shocked and disappointed! My husband and I set the DVR to make sure we don't miss Brother vs. Brother. We were first disappointed that Eric and Melissa's house won, because we felt Adi and Rick were definitely the best overall and sad to see that neither could win. So after the shock settled a bit that Melissa won, we went back through the other episodes and recapped to see if we missed something. Adi and Rick, even Eric had stand out projects throughout the series. Melissa…couldn't find her stand out moments except doing a horrible job on the budget and having an emotional break down. Very disappointed with the winner chosen!

  2. Melissa was talented, but Eric had the whole package. From attitude, work ethic, budgeting, installation and creativity, Eric could do it all. Hands down, Eric should have won. I hope that HGTV doesn't let Eric slip away. He would be such an asset to their network.

  3. I think that the wrong choice for the winner is an understatement. She said it herself "I do not want to lose my Eric" and as people said, she was riding on him all the way to the top 4. Can't say that Melissa was a bad designer, but her skills were not even close to the bar that Eric set episode after episode. Eric's rooms always get viewed in awe, on how amazing it was. brothers, I don't know how you decide the winner, but it doesn't seem fair. I hope to see Eric in his own show on HGTV, that's what he deserves. Everyone would watch it! I stood there last night staring at the TV. "Did they just say Melissa won and Eric didn't?" I wish more thought was put into the descison, because if there was any thought, ERIC EREMITA would have won!!

  4. I honestly feel Melissa shouldn’t have won. Nothing taken away from her, shes a great designer and she has a great eye for design, BUT… I’m pretty sure all of america knows that the bathroom Eric installed on the finale is the reason team Drew won. That bathroom alone added most of the additional value to that house. I think the brothers dropped the ball, rather, played the safe card and picked “the girl”. She was the only gurl left in the show ya gotta give it to her, but still… Eric deffinitley should have won that competition. He had the best, most consistent work throughout

  5. I intensely disliked Eric from the first episode. He was extremely arrogant, refused to take suggestion and, worst, was not a team player. He was completely self serving throughout the entire series. From the first time I heard him promoting himself and saw him trying to push other team members aside, I just hoped that anyone else would win. Anyone! I thought he should have been eliminated from the competition in an earlier episode, but since he was not I am glad that Melissa won the prize. I do not intend to judge the designs as the experts did, but I thought Eric made quite a few bad decisions from his horrible color choices to his shoddy baseboard molding. You do get a good sense of the contestants themselves because of the recorded interviews. So all I can say is that I am glad that the most arrogant and self serving person out of the ten in the competition did not win.

    • You must be new to reality television. Welcome…
Now go watch Jersey Shore to catch up on just how real it is.

    • DAAAH >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>It's a competition…. confidence is something most people can't handle.
I would not want some one working in my home that could not bring the whole project together.
      From design to completion..
Eric was hands down the winner … every aspect of what a designer should be.

  6. She won. Wow what a bad decision. I was rooting for Adi.

  7. If we are all being honest, Tean Drew could not have won without Eric Eremita. The man can design, constuct and budget all with an artistic style like no other. He is “white collar” designer that can ( and does) design rooms in muti million dollar homes. Please, this is not to disrespect Melissa, she did a good job, but Eric is in a category of his own. I think HGTV has found their next big star for his own show in Eric Eremita. He deserves the opportunity! He is a true talent!

  8. The people have spoken and majority rules, Eric was the clear winner! But I chose not to place a laundry list of reasons as to why, I think that was clear. But rather to call out "The Brothers". I want an explanation! In fact, we all want an explanation for your judgement. Tell us why Melissa was "really deserving" of this. What exactly was it that made her stand out? And what was it Eric didn't have? Week after week we sat to watch your show. We gave you those very important ratings your advertisers want to see. We make you the successes that you are! I read a laughable statement by someone claiming Eric's work on one job was shoddy. I'll tell you what was shoddy, that finale. We want answers, we want the truth. Can you handle the
    truth?

  9. I am not a reality show watcher, but Eric’s personality and inspirational ideas got me hooked. I actually found myself watching another HGTV Show this morning. Unfortunately, that show was unable to keep my attention and I shut it off.

I feel that if Melissa could not take the pressure of the competition, she should not have auditioned for the show. No one wants to see crying. This is a home renovation show, not a soap opera. In life, there are many things you will cry about. Competition on a reality home improvement show is certainly not one of them. Then again, maybe that's how you win $50,000.00.

I can only hope to see Eric again on HGTV and yes…. maybe even an explanation on what this decision was based on. In my opinion this was a bad decision Brothers!! I 'm sure your ratings will suffer.

  10. I watched the entire season with my husband and we were both totally shocked when they announced Melissa as the winner. Eric was exceptional the entire time. He added the greatest value to the homes as was evidenced by the fact that he made it to the finals. Eric’s personality throughout the show was synonymous with his work performance.

We certainly doubt that we will watch future episodes of this show, because we feel that this decision was not based on reality, as a reality show should be.

If Brother vs. Brother had been voted on by the public, Eric would surely have won. He is a true artisan. We wish Eric good luck in all of his future accomplishments, as we are certain there will be many.
