Watch a Sneak Peek of the Finale

In less than three days, there will be a new champion of Brother Vs. Brother. Can you believe it?

Brother Vs. Brother Season 2 Finale

The Final Four: Adi, Rick, Melissa and Eric

As you know, Adi is the sole survivor of Team Jonathan, while Team Drew has a crew of three with Rick, Melissa and Eric. The brothers really like to keep things fair (aren’t they sweet?!), so they sent Rick back to Team Jonathan, making both teams nice and even.

Rick and Adi are back in action, as if they were never on competing teams. And as always, we’re wondering: “Will Adi finish the project?!” Over on Team Drew, tensions are running high. Eric seemingly takes control of, well, everything, leaving Melissa in tears of frustration. Talk about a can’t-miss finale!

Brett’s Exit: “I Feel Like I Did Everything I Could”

Brett was so, so close to the win. He made it all the way to the final elimination, and he was right there when Drew named teammate David the first season winner.  But Brett’s not bitter — just happy for his friend. “If there was ever somebody I wanted to hand over the title to, it was Dave,” he says.

Brother Vs Brother Brett Karns

Brett came to the show with plenty of remodeling project management experience, and he proved to be a valuable team player to Drew’s squad. He’s leaving with a much better handle on technical skills — remember his first tile attempt? — and a new understanding of the workmanship. “I was humbled, because I feel like I”m constantly rushing the guys I work with. There’s no such thing as ‘rushed’ and ‘perfect.’ The two don’t mesh,” he says. Preach it, Brett!

See what else Brett has to say about the final challenge after the jump.

Monica’s Exit: “I Felt Like We Won”

Monica came to this competition with some very real skills: 15 years of design experience, a knack for comfortable color palettes, and a great sense of what families want. But her hands-on construction experience was pretty much zero. Remember when she learned to tile for the first time? “It’s just like frosting a cake. Frost that cake, girl,” Christy said.

Brother Vs Brother Monica Reese

Despite being a construction newbie, she stepped up, tried new things and earned a spot in the finale. Monica even thought she and Torche would be the final two contestants standing. “I thought it would be down to the two of us,” she admits.

See what else was on Monica’s mind just moments after the final elimination went down.

Torche’s Goodbye: “I Hope America Loves Me and Wants More, Because I Got More.”

Oh, Torche.  She was a strong competitor all through the competition. “She has proven herself again and again,” Jonathan says. Even Drew admitted she had the best creative mind of any cast member.  But even though she and Monica gave the final challenge their all, their appraised value fell just short of Team Drew’s total.

Brother Vs Brother Torche Perkins

“I wanted to win. I feel like we made the smartest choices possible,” Torche says. “I wanted to get a pony in there, for the reveal.”

Despite her “edgy” exterior, Torche stole many viewers’ hearts with her fun-loving demeanor, formidable construction skills and sheer will to win. But don’t worry, she’s not done. “I hope America loves me, and wants more. Because I got more,” she says.

Brother Vs. Brother Winner: Congrats, David!

Brother Vs Brother David Font

David, a landscape architect and business owner, made his mark in the very first challenge when he did not one but TWO tile installations. Even though he’s most comfortable creating luxurious outdoor spaces, he was the only one on Team Drew who properly knew how to tile. At one point he admitted he felt like his team’s general contractor. He was fine with this, though, because he knew his strong work ethic and team-player mentality would ultimately bring him into the finale and out as the season one champion of Brother Vs. Brother.

All season long, we watched David consistently make smart design choices that helped his team win challenge after challenge. Flip through his best remodels >>

Brother Vs. Brother: Inside the Finale

Brother Vs Brother Finale

Last night’s finale was in-tense. The final four contestants — David, Brett, Monica and Torche — went head-to-head while still working together on teams to pull off their final designs. Talk about complicated. In the end, though, we knew only one would walk away with a $50,000 check and the champion title.

David’s season-long triumphs and final fireplace design ultimately led him in the race, making Team Drew the overall winner. Go behind the scenes of the Brother Vs. Brother season one finale and hear what Jonathan, Drew and the judges have to say about the final designs, including David’s fireplace feature.

Brother Vs Brother Finale

The final four: Monica, Torche, David and Brett

This week’s Brother Vs. Brother season finale pins girls against guys. Both Jonathan and Drew want to make sure there’s an even match-up in the last challenge, so Torche and Monica are paired together to take on the last home remodel. And there’s a bit of a twist with the final two homes. They’re identical homes. As in, the homes are identical and their owners are identical. Crazy times at Brother Vs. Brother.

Anne’s Goodbye: “I Was Shocked When I Got Kicked Off”

HGTV Star Episode 6 Elimination

Anne describes her style as “livable eclectic,” and her spaces have all pulled in that recognizable Anne element that everyone has come to love. There have been a few unfortunate mishaps here and there (the bedding from challenge one and the draperies from challenge three), but she’s ultimately impressed the judges all around. “She had some of the best spaces that were completed this season,” Vern says. “I was very surprised she didn’t make it to the top three.” I think we all were! Anne says, “I was the most consistent in my design; I’ve won three times; and I was the most consistent in my camera challenge, so I was very shocked when I got kicked off.”

Hear Anne’s take on the challenge that sent her home. Plus, David and the judges discuss her best design moments throughout the season.

Episode Six Behind-the-Scenes Dish

HGTV Star Behind-the-Scenes Dish Episode 6

We have school buses! Could it be any weirder?” Probably not, David. And the best part? The designers were given the ultimate creative freedom to do whatever they wanted. Hence the unique time traveler’s space lounge by Brooks and the Alice in Wonderland-themed bus by Tiffany. You would think this quirky challenge would be a breeze for some, but even Brooks admitted the limitless options were a bit overwhelming.

Hear David and the judges’ very candid views on last night’s bus designs and live audience camera challenges. (Even David admits he struggled with his camera challenge during season one.)
