I would love to redo my dining room starting with a mid century teak dining table and upholstered chairs but every time I start to shop online or in used furniture stores – I chicken out. I don't have the "Can't you just see it" gene. I would love to have a designer along side to encourage me to go for it.

I love HGTV- gives me lots of ideas of things I'd like to do. But being a senior on limited income, can't do most– especially my kitchen which is a 1960. It really needs help. Have a sewing room, I call my disaster room. To bad HGTV only does remodels for young couples.

hgtv NEVER features folks over 45, unless they're in the fashion or entertainment business. ' Ageist' comes to mind. The idea being that people only want to see young, and attractive folks. Also couples, even unmarried, are preferred to singles. Message… don't age, or go it alone, 'cause you won't be considered "worthy" of blessings.

  27. Julie Wolf says:

I've always needed my bathroom done or the kitchen. My home has everything standard and basic from
when it was built. When we bought it, the market of houses sold so quick in the area, that we just settled
for what we are in now due to the price. Now, all we can afford is an item here or there to replace like my
frig that broke. Right now my kids in college are more important to us so if we win, that would be fabulous!

  28. I work in my lower level walk out basement full time as an artist/graphic designer. This has been my studio for over 10 years and I have always dreamed of making it a lovely space to work in, but the economy ripped my chances of that, with no freelance coming in for a while. I continue to work and manitain a website, but my studio is DARK, dreary and almost feels dungeon-like. How can I get on one of your shows as a challenge to change my working space into something light and fun to create in? What do I need to do to submit my request and photos?

  29. Lindy says:
