Are you making a stop at South by Southwest in Austin this year? Make sure to check out HGTV all around town.

Last year’s wildly popular HGTV “Art on the Side,” an installation allowing festival-goers to paint mini-murals, is making its way back to South by Southwest. From March 9-16, the user-generated art wall will be on display at the iconic Austin Music Hall and at the corner of Trinity and 3rd Street for attendees to stop by and get creative.

From March 12-16, HGTV is joining forces with VEVO, the world’s leading all-premium music video and entertainment platform, to transform the popular Ghost Room venue into a custom-designed VEVO TV Control Room to showcase a hot line-up of live performances and events. The space, designed by HGTV HOME® Studio interns and recent graduates, will function as a music venue, an exclusive after-hours VIP lounge, a beer garden and hang-out space with picnic tables, Ping-Pong games, and food and beverages. The VEVO TV Control Room will be located at 304 W. 4th St. between Lavaca and Guadalupe, and open from 2-6 p.m., 8 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. and other late night sessions.

HGTV and Paste magazine are presenting The “Stages on Sixth” from March 13-16 at one of 6th Street’s biggest music venues, The Stage on Sixth, where 44 bands will perform from noon to 6 p.m. each day. This year’s line-up includes festival favorites Billy Bragg, Buddy Miller & Jim Lauderdale, Josh Ritter and The Zombies, as well as newcomer CR Smith, winner of HGTV and Paste’s “Be The New Sound of HGTV Contest.” As part of his grand prize package, Smith will perform his contest-winning song, “This Way Home,” which was regularly featured on HGTV in 2012.
