When I saw it, I thought, "Jack's done it again." He gave the house a sense of its historic setting (the Spanish, stucco-based style) and made it modern, liveable and beautiful. When I saw it, I thought, "Jack's done it again." He grounded the house in its setting by choosing the Spanish-influenced style, then blended that style with a casual liveability that instantly says "home."

It's been a big summer at my house. My family moved into a 100-year-old cabin and we put green ideas into action by decorating with tons of recycled materials. My favorites: the wrought iron window box that is now a pot rack, and the beautiful pieces of barn wood that we turned into a two-level bar.
