Well, what did you think of tonight’s season finale? No question — that kitchen needed some serious help! Which team do you think best combined the two rooms to create a blinged-out new kitchen? Although the time alloted was tight (just six hours) the teams had a lot of square footage to work with, the support of helpers and a fully-stocked design center. Ultimately, whose finished design would you rather have in your home — Angelo’s or Vern’s?

Now’s your chance to weigh in on tonight’s designs
So, it’s the final week and we’ve pulled out all the stops. Our competitors this week are design heavyweights Vern and Angelo plus special guest Food Network’s Guy Fieri who is a serious contender in his own right.
In this corner:
Vern Yip (Deserving Design) and Anthony Gilardi (Myles of Style)
VERSUS
Angelo Surmelis (Rate My Space) and James Lunday (Rip & Renew)
These 4 celebs will face off in a race against the clock to see which team can add style and a more functional layout to this disjointed kitchen and adjacent mudroom. Both teams will have just 6 hours to work their magic before time is called and the homeowners, Gabriella and Joe McCurdy, select the winning design.
What do you think — can they do it? Which team are you rooting for?
If you were one of our designers with just 6 hours to reconfigure and restyle this kitchen, what would you do? Take down the wall seperating the two rooms? Bring in new cabinets or new appliances? Ditch the dated wallpaper for a fresh coat of paint?
So, I’ve got good news and bad news. The bad news is that this is our final week of HGTV Showdown. The good news is that this week’s episode airs one hour earlier at 9pm and is followed by the premiere episode of Design Star — talk about must-see TV!
So, in honor of our season finale, we have a special guest this week for Caption This: Food Network’s Guy Fieri.

Looks like wherever Guy goes, food and good times follow. Tell me, how would you caption this photo?
What did you think of tonight’s episode? Which team added style, honored Ray’s Mexican heritage and better maximized the usable space in the challenge’s 660-square-foot apartment? The designs were very different and both teams came up with creative approaches to a great-looking apartment.

Tune in this Sunday night at 10/9c for the third matchup of the season. This week, our contenders are:
In this corner:
Marcus Hunt (Hammer Heads) and David Bromstad (Color Splash)
VERSUS
Jared Walker Dostie (Rate My Space) and John Gidding (Designed to Sell)
These 4 celebs will face off in a race against the clock to see which team can incorporate creative space-planning ideas and a fresh new look in this spatially-challenged bachelor’s studio apartment. Both teams will have just 5 hours to work their magic before time is called and the homeowner, Ray Barragan, selects the winner.
What do you think — can they do it? Which team are you rooting for?
If you were one of our designers with just 5 hours to reconfigure and restyle this room, what would you do? Construct furniture that does double-duty? Ditch the carpet for new flooring? Brighten the space with fresh paint?
It’s time again for a little Showdown fun. In both weeks 1 and 2 , I provided you guys with a few humorous options to choose from — which you obviously didn’t need. You came up with some great ones all by your lonesome. So this week you’re on your own and don’t let Kim and Cami have all the fun.
How would you caption this photo? What on earth is Jamie doing?

Peek-a-boo, Jamie sees you….
What did you think of tonight’s episode? Which bonus room would you rather have in your home? Personally, there were aspects of both that I liked.

So, spill, do you think the right team won?
Tune in this Sunday night at 10/9c for the second matchup of the season. This week, our contenders are:
In this corner:
Olympic Gold Medalist Kristi Yamaguchi & Matthew Finlason (The Stagers)
VERSUS
Sabrina Soto (Get It Sold) & Drew Lachey (HGTV’s $250,000 Challenge)
These 4 celebs will face off in a race against the clock to see which team can pull this desperately-dated bonus room into the 21st century. Both teams will have just 4 hours to work their magic before time is called and the homeowners, Brian and Heidi Eggert, crown our champion.
What do you think — can they do it? Which team are you rooting for?
If you were one of our designers with just 4 hours to update this room, what would you do? Remove the barn-side paneling? Ditch the shag? New flooring? Fresh paint?
Wow, you guys did a fantastic job writing witty captions for last week’s photo, so I’m interested to see what you can do with this week’s pic.

Looks like Charlie just got a new Angel…
