For newbies and those who happened to miss it, here’s a second look at our Super Fan’s stroll to the Provo River, which runs behind HGTV Dream Home 2012. Imagine living in a luxury home that abuts one of the world’s most famed flyfishing waterways.

And just to clarify, we will pull the name of the HGTV Dream Home 2012 Giveaway winner during a random drawing slated to occur on or about March 1, 2012. A Return Visit to HGTV Green Home 2012

The online team arrived in Serenbe on Tuesday. Our purpose: To take still and panoramic photos for the virtual tour of HGTV Green Home 2012. We were treated to sunny skies, no-coat-required temperatures and daffodils and forsythia abloom, thanks to an unusually mild February. I would describe Serenbe as quite cocoon like — you leave stress, responsibility and any sense of time somewhere far behind. When life is that stripped down, nature takes a step foward. The grass seems greener and even the night sky takes on added brilliance.

The Inn at Serenbe serves as our home base during this trip. It’s comfy and cozy — the original family homestead of developers Steve and Marie Nygren. I can see why the couple fell so madly in love with this area, weekend trips turned into fulltime residence and their laidback lifestyle became the cornerstone of what has blossomed into a tightly knit yet welcoming community.

I had the opportunity to tour HGTV Green Home back in September when it was just a framed shell, and have been examining photos of exterior and interior spaces ever since. Trust me when I say that snapshots can’t hold a candle to the experience of walk through. Interior designer Linda Woodrum has done an amazing job — her mix of contemporary and rustic furnishings connects the home to its environment and tells a compelling story of sustainability. And wait till you see the jaw-dropping view she’s created from the kitchen to the back courtyard. It’s 100 percent Hollywood.

Curiosity piqued? I will be sharing more teasers in the weeks to come. Hold on to your hats: The 2012 virtual home tour, slated to launch April 2, may be our most compelling effort to date.
