Urban Oasis 2011: Clue Four
So here we are. We’ve landed on the final clue. I was pretty easy on you this time. No riddles. No math problems. If you can identify the location captured in this image, then you know the location of Urban Oasis 2011. Happy day!

I wonder what Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable of Eschikagou would have to say about HGTV's selection of Chicago as the site for the Urban Oasis 2011? Probably something along the lines of "c'est absolument magnifique."
Oui, Oui Monsieur, let them eat cake! Not Smith Island cake, something french like Lady Fingers.
très bon mes chers amis! Votre français est parfait!
All this talk about Chicago got me to thinking , wasn't it Frank Sinatra that had a hit with the song "Chicago"? Now I can't get that song out of my head. Nice song, nice location for an Urban Oasis. It's one of the few places I've actually been. Love the red hot dogs!
Sorry AES, I couldn't resist http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoKn7vkSMBc
Thanks for the link. I do love that voice, and it's a great song too!
" My kind of town, Chicago is
My kind of town…" I have been hearing Frankie's voice reading through all 4 clue blogs……………
Hope this link works; it is one of 2 songs about Chi town that Frankie did. Awesome performance : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHRjmfeNplQ
Go, Francis Albert !!
Yep, that's it all right, what a classic. That man had a way with a song didn't he? Thanks for the link, I thoroughly enjoyed it. If I could only make the voice in my head sound that good!
Lucy's been digging so much she chased a squirrel and I haven't seen it in weeks. Wait, I think I just found the squirrel in Chicago….take a look! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPI9LRKC9f8&fe….
I can't wait for announcement to find out which building!
Beachfront condo properties on Lake Shore Drive, near the W Hotel, near Michigan Ave., and the Magnificent Mile…..
3 bedroom beachfront residences from $1.2 – $1.9 million
1 bedroom residences from $467,900 – $511,900
Where will the Urban Oasis be?
Now that we know Chicago is the site of Urban Oasis 2011, I'm sure that Jack T is already making his list for 2012 and checking it twice. May I suggest downtown San Diego — once again. Just to keep the idea circulating among the decision makers…. ^_^
And if not San Diego (my 1st choice), then how about another big vote getter for UO locations : Miami ? We need warm sea breezes and we need to: c'mon shake our bodies baby do the conga, 2012 !
Cool breezes in Miami and the 'Conga'! I've got just the thing to get us in the mood, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eH_u0IzEMsY
I Vote for Washington, DC! A FABULOUS place of urban buzz all the time (politics aside LOL!).
Santa Monica, California.
A picture is worth a thousand words…..
Guess who's running commercials on Chicago TV stations? Lincoln Park 2520. Their sales office? In the John Hancock Center. I'm thinking they are gearing up for a big announcement. Check out this link for a recent construction photo. http://chicago.curbed.com/archives/2011/04/15/chi…
A most worthy luxury condo development in which to own, with thoughtful design and an excellent location, but will they have a Vern Yip furnished unit available for the Urban Oasis giveaway by this November?
While the first units are scheduled for delivery in early 2012, I believe Vern can have a fully decorated condo ready by November, even if only the bones of the rest of the building are in place. It seems that it take a couple of months after the give-a-way to transfer title, which coincides with the early 2012 date.
Looking back at NYC’s UO, the on-line tour began Aug 12th. That deadline makes me a little nervous. However, I have confidence that HGTV can pull it off. And, if it is in the Lincoln Park 2520 building, I’m sure the Walsh construction company will have the unit available in time. What a coup it is for whoever has landed the HGTV 2011 Urban Oasis.

That was the Hancock Building not Lincoln Park. But the Lincoln Park plans look really nice, too:)
When I was in Chicago, I had a chance to have lunch in one of the resturants high up in the tower, the veiw of the lake was spectacular!! This would be a phenominal location!! It is right next ot the transit station, clost to EVERYTHING, shopping is incredible, and there is a GORGEOUS church located very nearby (across the street) that is the stuff of picture books! Ahhhhhh! This would be PERFECT!!!
thank you for posting this! i am so excited to see it all decorated!
This looks like Chicago. How does this work? How do you enter contest.
Haha! View from Lincoln Park towards Water Tower, was just there, in Chicago last year.
Never been to Chicago but looking at this area, I hope there will be some wonderful water views. Also agree with another poster, that there will be more than one bedroom and one bath and bigger than the New York Urban Oasis.;)
My sweet home town of Chicago! I am so entering to win this! I would love to live in downtown Chicago!
